I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Waxman and his staff. He pays attention to small details that matter most to the patient. His high expectations from his staff benefit his patients and their quick recovery. Truthfully, I was very much dreading this surgery and put it off as long as possible. But my experience with Dr. Waxman makes me regret that I didn’t take my life back with TKR a long time ago. I highly recommend Dr. Waxman and his very professional staff!
I had a total knee replacement (TKR) by Dr. Waxman at UHC 11 days ago and have been walking without a walker or cane since day 6. This is my second knee replacement, the first not by Dr. Waxman, and my experiences couldn’t be more different. My surgery was late in the day on Tuesday, and early Wednesday morning physical therapy had me up and walking with a walker. I was able to move the entire length of the hallway outside of patient rooms twice. Later that day with supervision of physical therapy I walked the loop of the patient rooms on 5 south. Went home on Thursday, two days after surgery and continued therapy.
