Staff was very friendly and patient it was very very busy had a little bit of a wait but great service overall
I traveled from Elkins WV to UHC because I heard so many good things about this place, biggest mistake ever!! The ER was awful, when they took me back to get vitals and to take my info as to why I was there, the whole waiting room knew my problem, they didn't shut the door for anybody who came in there! I was there around 10:30pm until the following morning around 10:00am, they took 1 set of vitals on me the whole time I was there, the staff was not friendly at all and the PA I seen acted dumb founded, she had no direct answers for me, she knew nothing! My husband and I were so cold, I asked for a blanket and hours later never seen one, so my husband had to go out and ask for one! I understand I'm not the only patient, but as I'm being wheeled back into the ER and see everybody gathered around the desk chatting and looking at a tablet, and I go hours in pain in my room and don't see anybody, that's insane. The following morning they come in at 7am to tell me they are going to discharge me that they just have to get my papers ready, finally at 10:00am the doctor came in after my husband had to go out and see what was up! My husband and I both work in the medical field and let me just say, this is a lesson learned!! I will never go back to this facility again!!
The emergency is a joke. There is a good 50 people in here, ranging from the flu and a cold to not breathing. They are sending people with the flu and ear ache in and out and letting people not breathing sit. I've been here 2 hours and have six people ahead of me who have been here and hour and fifteen minutes longer.
