The sad part is she's not the only incompetent hair dresser there. The new guy Mike, is just plain awful. Very unsure and has had many clients that were mad, which he told one of his clients. Why would you tell the woman whose hair you're cutting that?
I can't give 0 stars. This place needs shut down. I have very thin dry hair and the stylist washed my hair with teetree oil - which dries your hair. Scalded me with the water. Hacked at my hair with the finest tooth comb she had. It fell out by the handfuls. Evidently my yelps and ows weren't enough. And then burns me again with the hair drier. Then she proceeds to cut next to nothing off my hair to where all her damage done in her tirade left my hair worse than when I went in. She said "ok I'm done" and I very nicely said "this feels very dry still I don't feel comfortable leaving like this" and then the hairdresser next to her proceeds to tell me off about how wrong I am about hair and that "I have dry hair that would have to be cut into a bob to fix my mess" (I have very nice hair that's about 22 inches long) and the manager says "is there a problem" - being me I bite my tongue and simply said I'm ready to leave. I paid - looking back at it I really should've let the imbicles know my two sense and not paid. This shop needs shut down honestly. They have nasty and untalented employees to say the least. Definitely investing in going back to my PROFESSIONAL hairstylist.
Well, I can only warn others not to have anyone cut their at Smart Styles in Clarksburg or Holiday Hair at Meadowbrook Mall. I hope that I can prevent others from the loss of many tears, hard earned money and a lot of frustration trying to deal with upper management.
Also messed up the color. I wanted to dye my hair brown, and she left the bleach in there so long it turned out blonde. It's been a week and it's still blond.
Please just go to Master Cuts, I love those guys. My stylist was Heather, and wow she must have been an amateur. Messed up the haircut. I have naturally curly hair and she STRAIGHTENED my hair and THEN cut it. She saw how curly my hair was, she knew that I like to wear my hair curly, so why would she cut it when it was straight? Who does that? It ended up being way too short. My bangs look stupid
These morons, and I mean the Regis Corporation, will meet their end evenually, when enough people realize how untalented, unskilled their so-called hairdressers really are. Their poor elderly patrons are probably not aware that their hair is lopsided when they walk out of Smart Styles.
Regis also has the worst of the worst working in upper management. They put you through a wringer even if you send them pictures of the messed up job that their blind, butchers did.
at Walmart in Clarksburg or Holiday Hair at Meadowbrook Mall.
I called another salon and asked them if they did african American hair and they flat out said no. I have been to other salons and they say they can do african American hair but the hairdressers act like they are afraid to touch my hair. To my pleasant surprise while I was having my hair done. A second african American was having her hair done. This was a strange site indeed. Two african Americans in the same salon at the same time. Bill did an excellent job of relaxing my hair. I plan to go back for other hair pricedures.
The worst place in the world to deal with when there is a problem and that's quite frequently. No one can cut hair right at any salon that is associated with Regis Corporation. Where in hell do they find these losers? If you want your hair screwed up big time, go to Smart Styles
I wish I could give this place less than zero! I had to click on 1 star for my review to be seen. I should have never gone in this "salon".. and I use that term loosely. I went in and told the woman who was going to cut my hair that I wanted 3 THREE inches cut off the length and my layers trimmed. She held up the right side of my hair and said "is this ok"? It was almost at my shoulder . I told her that it was ok. I ASSUMED she would taper the back. since I DID say I want 3 inches off the length. She proceeded to cut my hair straight across the back. My hair WAS almost at my waist. I said "that doesn't look like 3 inches!" She said "you just told me it was ok!" Yeah, the side was ok. But it should have been tapered. Not cut straight across! So the 3 inches I wanted cut off my hair turned into about 7-8 inches. Please! If you want a decent haircut, do NOT go to this place. I have been cutting my own hair for several years now because so many people have messed it up so bad, I stopped trusting salons to do it right. So, my first haircut at a salon after about 10 years, this happens. My hair was actually longer than it is in this pic. Now my hair doesn't even touch my shoulders. I've been crying since I got home. What's ALMOST as bad as the haircut she gave me is the fact that she just gets away with it. It will take MONTHS for my hair to grow to an acceptable length. She was a very pathetic excuse for a hair stylist. She butchered my hair and now I'M the one that has to deal with it. And common sense must be an issue here too since she didn't seem to know what 3 inches is. I had my husband take a pic of the back of my hair and surprise, surprise! It's not even!
