Service is very hit and miss. A lot of people running around be service is lacking. This morning just like other time we stopped there, we were seated, watch others come in after us and get their orders taken. After 3 cups of coffee we finally get our order delivered while others who came in after us were served and leaving and THEY WERE NOT BUSY. Commented to the waitress, she said she would have the manager come talk to us. He never did. You have issues folks. There are too many places around here glad to give us better service and take our money. Denny's, Eat N Park just for examples. Your failing.
We have been disappointed in recent IHOP visits elsewhere. THIS is how IHOP's used to be: fluffy pancakes, great omelettes large enough to ask for a take-out box. Our server, Joe, was also one of the best we've encountered in a while. All in all, an outstanding chain restaurant experience.
Otherwise all the other employees are nice too. The food is always good and everything is nice and tidy.
The food is above average. They keep it relatively clean and it's a place I would keep going back to. Their decor reminds me of an old timey style diner with a minimalistic touch. The best dish I've had there is the Sirloin Steak Tips. I highly recommend getting those.
Service is hit or miss depending on who is working. Can range from timely, accurate plating of order to the table to sitting for a long time watching customers who arrived more recently get their food. Also, if you have an allergy you REALLY have to tell the server multiple times or the kitchen staff won’t comply with it. One would think this wouldn’t be an issue, and it isn’t entirely the fault of the server, but I’ve expressed that I couldn’t have any onion in my food and was still served as if I hadn’t said a thing. They did remake it and waive the price, but there are just some communication issues here from what I’ve been able to tell on several occasions. Atmosphere is pleasant and restaurant is clean.
The lady at the host desk is the nicest sweetest lady ever. She makes my day every time I come here. I also just put in a pick up order and she was so nice and funny. What a great employee! Had to write a review, and I never do that!
